Words as a contact sport. The Poetry Slam Collective brings eight poets to the Street Stage for a Saturday afternoon slam — five minutes each, no props, no music, and the audience decides who goes through to the final round.
Expect funny, angry, tender and sometimes very personal texts, mostly in English with a few surprises. Open mic slots for newcomers can be claimed at the stage thirty minutes before the start. Free entry; the Street Stage sits on cobbles, so bring something to sit on.
